In this beginning workshop, Rosanne teaches the basics of how to get started, create the text, add the photos and have the pages bound into a priceless family memento. You will get organizational tips as well as a good dose of motivation. There is a short session of writing and sharing to get you started.

Writing as a Gift

What could be more precious than a written collection of family stories, complete with text and appropriate photos? Learn how to create the perfect gift for holidays, anniversaries or family reunions.

World Events and Me

How to write a memoir of your life juxtaposed against the backdrop of drastic world events or social and demographic light-hearted facts. The finished product can range from a story of survival or a nostalgic look at the “good old days.” Great for the history buff.

Family Matters

Two or more participants from a family will write together and get a different perspective on family history. These may include a spouse, sibling, parent, child or grandchild. Each family member should be prepared to exchange ideas, write a bit, and compare memories. Marvelous conversations begin here!

He Said, She Said

Capture the stories of a loved one. This workshop will provide hints, interview techniques, and ideas and will turn you on to turning the stories of your parent or grandparent into a treasured biography. The time is NOW!

In My Own World

We’ll do an informal sketch or map of your childhood home town, neighborhood, or a floor plan of your childhood home. You will write about each memorable place, nook or cranny depicted on the map. Endless memories for story topics will come to mind.
